Nope - with it's gorgeous 4-channel RAM, your current CPU is, in real life, equal, or even slightly better. Only if you feel the need for renewing (that is, to sell your existing machine while it still holds it's price).
edit: I just realized your mobo has got only 2 mem slots. Pity. But anyway, it's a powerful machine for it's size and you would not gain much in terms of overall efficiency by switching to Ryzen.
Getting closer. A few more months and we'll have ITX and I'll be in. Ryzen is the only value upgrade for my current 5820k based ITX build.

I have a number of rigs - 3960X, 4770K, 2600K and FX8350 - yet I feel excited about goin' AMD. Gonna wait for Vega launch, then perhaps build a Ryzen + Vega setup.....gonna wait though. I have a brand new Caselab mATX case lying around, so I'll wait for more AM4 mATX mobos to be widely available before building it.

Actually, and this is just considering the Intel platform, there's not much real world degradation going from quad to dual channel. There are "specific" tasks that will utilize the bandwidth and be noticeable in a production environment.
More speed, more cores, for someone who does lots of video editing, converting, and Photoshop work there absolutely will be a noticeable benefit. I'm vendor agnostic. If Intel responds to Ryzen by dropping the price of the 6900k or 5960X to $499 like the Ryzen 1800X which more or lest easily bests their price/performance/power profile in all but, legacy (old coded, 1080p) gaming benchmarks, then I would probably not buy a whole new architecture and get a $499 6900k or 5960X. We both know that's not going to happen and I'm done giving away money.
Vega however, is a tougher decision. A $599 1080ti is awfully appealing. By the time Vega is here this summer, you may be able to find deals or open boxes for ~$450. That's going to be a hard sell for AMD. I can't see them going much lower than $500 for Vega.
