BenQ Releases G80 Series Monitors

Spanning screen sizes from 24” to 27”, BenQ GW2480, GL2580H, GL2580HM, and GW2780 LED monitors feature stunning Full HD 1080p picture quality in a choice of advanced IPS panel technology with 178˚ H/V wide viewing angles or TN for lightning-fast 2ms response time.

“The G80 Series monitors embody the latest in BenQ design sensibility,” said Conway Lee, President of BenQ Corporation. “Their beautifully graceful forms seamlessly integrate natural functionality to promote utter simplicity in daily life and work.”

New Industrial Design for Simple Productivity and Elegant Lifestyles

For clean workspaces and modern lifestyles, G80 Series monitors offer a brand new minimalist design luxuriously finished with a premium texture. With Edge to Edge ultra slim bezels just 6.6 mm thin, almost half of their predecessors, G80 monitors minimize distractions to create virtually seamless multi-panel configurations.

Complementing the modern aesthetic, G80 Series provides an invisible cable management system neatly hidden in the monitor stand to smartly organize cable clutter, with a gorgeous sculpted base without extraneous edges and an oblique design to accommodate keyboards for clean functional appeal and expanded desktop space.

Industry-Leading Eye-Care and Brightness Intelligence Technology

G80 Series monitors provide BenQ-exclusive Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free technologies to reduce eye fatigue during extended viewing. In addition, GW2480 and GW2780 offer class-leading Brightness Intelligence Technology, actively adjusting brightness according to on-screen content and ambient light conditions to deliver clear image quality with the most comfortable viewing experience in any situation.

"1080p TN for lightning-fast 2ms response time"
I guess 60hz too since no mention about hz.

Yeaaaah... right... if it costs under 100$ it might be ok for something I guess.

Why would you release 1080p TN with lightning-SLOW (tons of TN have 1ms) 2ms response time in 2017. Sorry, but thats pure garbage even if the design is the best in the world.

These are part of BenQ's Home and Office range, meaning very much mainstream, no-frills, and probably where most of the sales are. The 2 ms response time vs 1 ms is a moot argument, it could be the 2 ms monitor displays the fast motion better or there is something else better about the monitor that slows the response time.

These can be used for gaming but it's not their intended purpose.
