BenQ announced the 27" EW2755ZH LCD monitor, which is their first model featuring "Low Blue Light Plus" advanced eye-care technology, which is upgrade from BenQ’s original Low Blue Light Technology.

The screen as 27" size and comes with a borderless design. The panels is based on AMVA with 3000:1 contrast ratio. Other specs arenot liste, although we expect a 1920 x 1080 resolution.

TAIPEI, TAIWAN, April 30th, 2015 – BenQ, an internationally renowned provider of digital lifestyle innovations and VA monitor expert, is very pleased to announce today the launch of its EW2755ZH LCD monitor, its first model featuring "Low Blue Light Plus" advanced eye-care technology, which is upgraded from BenQ’s original Low Blue Light Technology. Low Blue Light Plus utilizes exclusive panel expertise to filter out only the hazardous blue light emissions, keeping the eye safe while ensuring a true-to-life display color performance. What’s more, there are four new user scenario modes for the best eye protection. BenQ is the first monitor brand to receive formal certification from TÜV Rheinland, one of the world’s leading provider of technical, safety and certification services. Currently, EW2755ZH has been certified by TÜV Rheinland for its eye-friendly features.

Upholding the leading position of BenQ's Eye-care brand image, BenQ is thus proud to unveil the EW2755ZH edge-to-edge design with a 27" VA panel to enhance the viewing experience, sustaining the company's commitment to eye-care monitors that offer protection, comfort and precision as part of an enjoyable viewing experience. Incorporating Low Blue Light Plus and Flicker-free technology, BenQ's latest LCD monitor is aimed at lasting user enjoyment and an upscale viewing experience that's easy on the eyes. The EW2755ZH is ideal for heavy monitor and notebook users who are also seeking a high-quality video watching experience and multitasking in personal space. They can connect the EW2755ZH to their notebook as an extension monitor for boosting work efficiency, or to a gaming console for more gaming fun.

Low Blue Light Plus and Flicker-free Technology: An Exclusive Eye-Care Solution that Gives You Eye Protection and Digital Enjoyment Without Compromise
BenQ's newest Low Blue Light Plus advanced eye-care technology brings together the most powerful combination of advanced panel innovations for a comfortable viewing experience. This exclusive eye-care solution, now debuting for the first time in the EW2755ZH LCD monitor, fully leverages VA high-contrast panel capabilities with AMVA+ panel strength and 3000:1 native contrast ratio, enhancing image clarity, which makes viewing the monitor screen much easier on the eyes. Low Blue Light Plus removes the hazard blue light (420~455mm) emission, which similar to UV light brings discomforts, wariness and health consequences to the eye, and does so without compromising yellow screens, low brightness and faded color. The four new user scenario modes offered through Low Blue Light Plus are tailor-designed to bring the highest image quality and healthiest viewing experience for a wide array of user behavior. New modes include Standard, Entertainment, Office and Dark Room. There is no color shift when the Low Blue Light Plus hot key is set to Standard mode.

Additionally, Flicker-free technology eliminates flickering at all brightness levels and effectively reduces computer eyestrain due to screen flickering. Conventional LCD screens flicker 200 times per second, a level visually unnoticeable to the user but still creating substantial eye fatigue. In contrast, BenQ's flicker-free monitors free the user from this unconscious strain.

Viewer Experience Enhanced by Ultra-Slim Monitor Design
Inspired by the geometry of modern architecture, the ultra-slim bezel EW2755ZH is richly layered to achieve a sophisticated and refined look. Accentuating the simplicity of the monitor is the extraordinary curved line of its neck, which extends to the back where the sleek I/O hubs are elegantly and functionally placed. A strikingly trendy display is tailor-made to please the viewer's eyes.

The BenQ EW2755ZH 27” LCD monitor will be available in China and Taiwan in May 2015, followed by the launch of the new 23.8” model, the EW2445ZH, which will be available by June 2015. No word yet on US or UK release dates or prices.

They really need to stop giving 1080 resolution to any monitor above 24, it looks really bad. I had a Dell 27 with 1080 that lasted me only for a week because the resolution was just too low for its size. At least get it in the 2k range.
