BenQ LED Pocket Projector GP1

by Thorsten Finck on: 03/09/2009 02:50 AM | source: | 0 comment(s)

Just in time for this years CeBit, BenQ presented its Pocket Projector GP1 to the public. As the name already implies, its measurement of 136 x 120 x 54 millimeters and its very light weight of only 1.4 pounds/640 grams make this a truely compact design. Additionally, this projector uses LEDs as a light source which is a pretty unique feature.

Here are a few more facts about it: its native resolution is 858 x 600 pixels, it has an 2,000:1 contrast ratio, the LEDs emit 100 ANSI lumens and BenQ rates the LEDs for about 20,000 hours. The noise level during normal operation is 31 dB(A). The ports it provides are VGA, Composite and USB. The expected price for this beamer is supposed to be around 500 Euros or 599 USD and its targeted release date is April.
