BenQ releases EX480UZ 48-inch gaming OLED display

BenQ has introduced the MOBIUZ EX480UZ gaming monitor, which features an organic EL display.

The first OLED screen from the MOBIUZ brand, with 4K UHD resolution (3,840 by 2,160). Playing video games has never looked better than on a display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 0.1ms (GtG) reaction time. On top of that, it is outfitted with HDRi technology and three distinct gameplay modes (FPS, RPG, Racing). Not only is it possible to use the FreeSync Premium feature to minimise screen tearing, the Light Tuner feature to fine-tune brightness, the Black eQualizer feature to increase visibility in low-light settings, and the Vivid Color feature to adjust and project colours in three dimensions, but it also works properly with the application in question. Color Vibrance capability added.

  • Display size: 1052.2 x 591.8mm
  • Display color: Approx. 1.07 billion colors
  • Pixel pitch/pixel density (mm/ppi): 0.274/92
  • Aspect Ratio: 16:9
  • Contrast ratio: 135,000:1
  • Brightness: 450cd/㎡
  • View angle (left/right/up and down): 178°/178°
  • Dimensions: width 1,068.5mm, depth 267.6mm, height 700mm

In addition, it has a built-in 2.1ch treVolo speaker (5Wx2+10W) and 5 types of sound modes (FPS, racing, sports game, cinema, live/pop). It has a USB Type-C connection that can accept a 90W power supply. The following are the primary features and benefits of the product, and a remote is included. It has two HDMI 2.1 inputs, a pair of DisplayPort 1.4 inputs, a pair of USB 3.2 Gen 1 inputs, and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C input. On January 6th, 2023, sales will officially begin. An approximate market price of 1699 USD/EUR  is predicted.

Why can't they keep it between 32"-42". Everything else seems either to big or to small for a 4K monitor

because sheets that 4K can be (currently) cut out of only support 48" and 42" on the smaller side. So, you are better of just buying, as suggested before, 48" LG C2 instead.

Nice monitor . But price again is a big no no . I would really like on ... Just bought a 32 inch last year but I think it's to small now. God how did we all handled with the Little 19 - 24 inches .

Dude in 2000 I got 17 inch cry and everyone was telling me it is sooo big ... The 14 inch was the standard !

Personally just picked up the Gigabyte FO48U. The picture quality is just stunning.

I started with a 19'' CRT and now I'm with a 24.5'' EX2510. Don't see myself putting a TV sized monitor in front of me anytime soon.
Max I'd go would be 27'' if 4K and good price, I already use glasses how are you guys ok with +40'' screens?

4k is a no go
Too much power needed to run games at 4k, meaning that including the monitor the system would be very expensive for me.
How well do 4k Oled monitors deal with 1440p output? Do they upscale it to 4k, or are also able to run at 2k, and is the iq very degraded?
