Yeah, it is not a typo, HDRi, another fake emulated HDR mode just to put a label on the box? The monitor offers 350 nits only. BenQ announced the EX2780Q gaming monitor to the market, which has 27-inch display with IPS panel, HDRi and FreeSync technologies.

It has a WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440) in 16: 9 format as well as higher-quality sound and numerous connection options including USB-C Connection. The secure base and the integrated speakers are in a metallic brown. The EX2780Q is suitable for a whole range of console video games and guarantees the perfect video enjoyment thanks to the 24P video format support. The newcomer in the BenQ gaming portfolio has a horizontal and vertical viewing angle of 178 ° and covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color space. It works with a 144 Hz refresh rate and the integrated AMD FreeSync technology - which it ensures at all times for distortion-free, fluid gameplay. With the HDRi technology developed by BenQ, the EX2780Q takes the visual experience to a whole new level. The intelligent brightness control shows clear and realistic details, even in dark picture areas and gives the viewer a much better visual clarity into what goes on in dark scenes.

There are a number of special image modes available on the EX2780Q, such as: Visual Edge - for enhanced visual effects, Black eQualizer - for lightening darker areas of the image for better clarity of details. Color Vibrance also offers the ability to precisely adjust the color intensity and adapt the image to the specific needs of different types of gameplay. Changes to the monitor’s settings can be made with the easy to use remote control.

The remote control allows shortcuts to provide a simple and fast operation of the image modes. This also applies to the HDRi mode, the Eye-Care features or dedicated game modes for different games. The volume of the speakers can also be controlled via the remote control. The remote control is provided with the monitor and when not in use, the remote control finds a place in a practical and elegant recess at the base of the monitor.

Thanks to the almost frameless display, the EX2780Q is ideal for multi-monitor use. The BenQ EX2780Q also has ports for HDMI, DisplayPort and headphones; for playing multimedia content from multiple sources, in addition to a USB-C (One Cable Connectivity) interface.

Two built-in 2.1 treVolo speakers (2x2 watts + 5 watts subwoofer) increase the game immersion. Five different audio scenarios (Rock / Party, Cinema, Dialogue / Vocal, Pop / Live and Game) provide the optimal sound for diving into the game with the rich bass and the clear high-end sounds.

The price sits at US $599.99
