Online Intel Core i9-12900HK laptop processor benchmarks surfaced over the weekend. A screenshot of the Geekbench results of an Intel Core i9-12900HK laptop processor. The CPU has 14 cores and 20 threads and runs at 2.9GHz.

In the Geekbench benchmark, the laptop CPU scores 1851 singlecore and 13,256 multicore. According to Wccftech, the CPU surpasses the Apple M1 Max in that test software, scoring 1785 single core and 12,753 multicore. Assuming regular clock speeds, the next Alder Lake chip will outperform the current Intel Core i9-11980HK and AMD Ryzen 9 5980HX on Geekbench. According to VideoCardz, these Core i9-12900HK scores are also higher than the highest 11980HK and 5980HX scores in the whole Geekbench database.

The Intel Core i9-12900HK has fourteen cores and twenty threads. The processor has six powerful P-cores with hyperthreading and eight efficient E-cores. Intel confirmed this in a developer optimization guide earlier this month. The screenshot also shows a 2.9GHz base clock and a 371MHz turbo clock. The CPU ran on Windows 11 Pro.

The Core i9-12900HK is not listed in Geekbench. The creator of this benchmark recently announced that pre-release hardware results could no longer be published online. In this situation, Geekbench results were leaked via screenshots of such gear.

The Alder Lake laptop CPUs are expected to launch in the first quarter of 2022. Intel plans to ship its first desktop CPUs on November 4, although laptop and lower-end desktop processors will follow later.
