Battlefield V will get its last expansion in June
Battlefield V will get a last content update with new weapons and modifications this summer, and DICE would be aiming to release it in June. And that would be the last one.
On Twitter DICE mentions that they will no longer add new game content after this summer. There however will be weekly rewards after the update, which will give players the opportunity to unlock items.
Here’s a brief overview on what’s coming:
- New Content: A new update will be released this summer.
- Weekly Rewards: Following the summer update, you’ll receive Battlefield Currency or Company Coin as Weekly Rewards, giving you a chance to unlock gear you may have missed.
- Events and Activities: We’re also planning various weekly initiatives such as the reintroduction of #FridayNightBattlefield servers, where the community can play Battlefield V in a friendly atmosphere. Throwback Thursdays, where we'll look to bring you together across all of our Battlefield titles are in the works, too.
- We are continuing our work on Community Games Updates. We are committed to bringing these to the game and we’ll keep you updated on when you can expect them to start coming online.
As the battles rage on for you and your squadmates, old and new, we’ll continue to PTFO with you for a long time.
The big question remains, is the course set for Battlefield 6? No new part of the series is planned for 2020. EA first wants to wait for the PS5 and Xbox Series X before adding fuel. DICE also mentioned to work on new anti-cheat measures for Battlefield V.

I log in to play with friends and my brother. With mates it's entertaining and good fun, but that's true for many things. It's an enjoyable game but I think it's one of their weakest entries. I hope they pivot their internal resources and do another 2142, it would give them the creative freedom to do whatever they want at least.

EA/DICE totally disrespected the Battlefield community with not dealing with the hackers and cheaters, not providing ANY Anti-cheat software to deal with it and then not even listening to their players/clients that this person has cheated, even describing what happened, providing photos, videos etc. On top of that they have not support the Battlefield Community by providing enoough content for Battlefield 5. Firestorm is one of the best parts of Battlefield 5 and where the majority of hackers/cheaters go to, and its sad to see such neglect to that part of the game which I truly love even to this day. But when you Firestorm game ends with a headshot from miles away with a shotgun and your wearing your High-end heavy armour, leaves a sore taste in your mouth. The company based in the U.S who provided the so-called Anti-cheat software should have been sued by gamers like when `World of Warcraft` had a similar issue with the anti-cheat software company who worked for Blizzard were sued in a landmark case that meant the company lost the contract for not protecting gamers safely. This should have happened for Battlefield 5, but it didn't. Most of the Battlefield gamers have left and gone on to play Call of Duty: Warzone which is free to play and has constant game updates and Activision has banned thousands of accounts for cheating. And it doesn't stop there, Activision are releasing an update that will put cheaters in a game with cheaters only. Activsion should be applauded for listening to their users, while EA/DICE should never be allowed to carry on with Battlefield 6. With rumours that it will launch sometime in 2021 on Steam and Origin, I won't be buying it on Origin. But I would if it were on Steam, at least there is some sort of anti-cheat software called `VAC`
DICE had a good reputation many years ago when it was Battlefield 2,3 and even Battlefield 4, but now I'm afraid its reputation is tarnished. Maybe it would be better if DICE had gone their seperate ways from corporate EA, but Its obvious they are sadly tied into a hideous contract with them....

So, the whole WWII comes to an end and soviet union, who lost about 25 million people, took Berlin and liberated osventsim, never participated in the DICE story.
