Battlefield: Hardline needs R9 290 or GTX 760 for best quality
With the Open Beta - EA posted the recommended PC system specs for Battlefield: Hardline. BTW - Hardline will not run on 32-bit systems and you will need 60GB of storage space !!
Ready for the Battlefield Hardline open beta? We can't wait for you to experience a taste of the cops vs. criminals action. And while we’re excited for you to check out a new take on Battlefield, we’re also excited to reveal the official system requirements of Battlefield Hardline. - MEMORY: 8 GB RAM
- GRAPHICS CARD: AMD Radeon R9 290, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760
- GRAPHICS MEMORY: 3 GB
- HARD DRIVE: 60 GB

We are talking about GTX 760, not 970.
Please don't bring toxic fanboyism here.
And while looking at the review on ASUS GeForce GTX 760 Striker Platinum,
it lose out to reference R9 290 in BF4

You read it wrong. That review has all the recent cards in it including recent drivers. And if we´re talking about fanboyism, that´s their problem, I´ve used most of these cards and I´m not favoring any of these companies.

GTX 970 62fps (reference)
GTX 970 66fps (galax)
R9 290X 68fps
6fps in difference, big win there bro.
Besides that, Origin and that horrible battle log site, no thanks, they can go f themselves.

I meant check it out in the 970 review. Meaning: Compare the 760 in that review with the 290.

of course they are not the same...
BUT... it's on windows...
dependly how it is coded (beween bad and average since BF3 lol) GTX 760 can have same or better result than a R9 290 due to the poor driver on the red side...
Hopefully for AMD user there will be update when the game will be release.
Don't worry, generaly on an unknow/beta/alpha or Open CL / GL stuff AMD perform very bad compared to NVidia, but it's just due to driver...
