Battlefield 5: New Update should have DLSS enhancements
A new update for Battlefield 5 is live, Chapter 3 for the WW2 shooter. The first patch for Trial by Fire not only prepares the Battle Royale mode Firestorm, but also changes some game elements such as the dogfight. Also in the much-criticized AA-edge smoothing DLSS there should be improvements in sharpness.
EA and DICE have been prepping for the launch of Firestorm, Battlefield 5's Battle Royale mode , which kicks off on March 25th. Matching with this, there is already the first update for Tides of War, Chapter 3, which means Trial by Fire or Feuerprobe. The patch has been available on PC since 10 o'clock, around 10 gigabytes in size. The notes for the new March update are again very extensive.
PC-Specific Improvements
- Made performance improvements in Combined Arms.
- Improved NVIDIA DLSS image clarity at 4K and 1440p.
DICE says the sharpness in Ultra HD and 1440p is better now. About four weeks ago one they mentioend more AI training. Top priority at that time should be the heavily criticized DLSS implementation at full HD resolution, that however has not yet been achieved.
