People really should NOT think this as a generous gift from EA.
They split player base with 6 map dlcs, and people who only bought BF4 now ****ed because there no much servers with players on to play with.
EA just desperatelly trying to raise sales before BF1 and salvage the situation they keep constantly ****ing up.
I wish they just added limited multiplayer daily play count on DLCs instead of totally isolating players.

My workmate still plays BF4 on a PS3 and has been telling me there are no populated servers running anything other than the base maps. The situation is better for PC users, though. I was playing BF4 quite regularly before my HTC Vive arrived, and had little difficulty finding populated servers running expansion maps.
With Battlefield Hardline, he's better off than me. There are no populated BFH servers at all for the PC in my region.

I believe this is not only for the owners of BF4. You can actually get it without the based game.
So if you are planning to buy BF4 at a later stage, you will have the DLC for free.
I suggest you do some research my friend, you do need the base game.
Yes, you can get the xpack for free but you still need the base game to play it and what good would it be without BF4?
That's not what the point was, etmb69 was saying you can grab this DLC without the base game, if you plan on buying it at a later date, bulldog75 said you couldn't
You can
