Bf3 isn't that twitch. You need reaction times, sure, but with all the bullet spread/damage/drop off/recoil it's not a point and shoot game.

It is IMO, while those variances certainly do make it less counter strike/CoD it certainly is nothing like BF2. I run around with an m40A5/red dot and in that respect it's very much twitch, even with other guns it's just a fast paced twitch shooter to me compared to the older BFs.

People pretty much shoot full auto for medium range encounters in BF3 also which really annoys me. Something that you could never never do in BF2 and get away with it. I found myself wining countless encounters in BF2 by just going semi-auto so i could hit my target with each shot while they tried to spray/burst. Not so in BF3 IMO, and the same with BF4 there are several instances of people just spraying the hell out of other people at ranges where deviation should really kick in and make full auto inaccurate.

I like both twitch and high recoil. First there's the twitch which you have to be good at, and then there should be massive recoil hitting you in the face forcing you to control your weapon.

Both skills combined makes for a lovely game imo. Perhaps not realistic, but gameplay wise I always enjoyed that approach.

I thought that looked like crap, big Hollywood BS and all twitch,.....it just gets worse for the BF franchise, that trailer has secured my lack of purchase :-)
