With a new head designer on board, EA and DICE must get Battlefield 2042 back on track. Fawzi Mesmar is moving away from EA.

The Battlefield 2042 rollout is not going as smoothly as it should. Players are becoming irritated or dissapointed, and we're not at a stage where Farming Simulator 2022 is gaining ground on the shooter. That is, in the end, the effect of the state of Battlefield 2042, which is not wholly to blame for this situation.

"It has been an absolute pleasure working on the best design teams in the galaxy," Mesmar wrote in his email to employees. "The incredible design work that you do inspires me every day anew. Thanks for the trust you have placed in me, I hope I have not disappointed you." Mesmar seems to have a better offer in the industry: "I was made an offer from another company that I couldn't refuse; they were kind enough to wait for me to deliver it (Battlefield 2042, ad ed.) It was very important to me to be here on the team when we reach this historic milestone. "

EA announced: "Fawzi Mesmar is leaving DICE by the end of the week. We wish him the best in his future endeavors." With a new game designer, EA can only hope to get Battlefield 2042 on track before it's too late and players decide on another title.
