Battlefield 1 System Specifications

The Battlefield website now offers the official system requirements for Battlefield 1. These come along with a couple of videos highlighting the HUD-less interface in the upcoming World War I shooter.

Here are the minimum and recommended system specifications and they're actually a little on the hefty side. BF1 may be using “the most optimized” version of the Frostbite engine yet, as DICE director of technology Per-Olof Romell said, but this is still an intensive game we're talking about if a Core i5 6600K is in its minimum specs.

Hold on to your armor.

The minimum spec:

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
  • Processor (AMD): AMD FX-6350
  • Processor (Intel): Core i5 6600K
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB
  • Graphics card (Nvidia): Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB
  • DirectX: 11.0 Compatible video card or equivalent
  • Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection
  • Hard-drive space: 50GB

The recommended spec:

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10 or later
  • Processor (AMD): AMD FX 8350 Wraith
  • Processor (Intel): Intel Core i7 4790 or equivalent
  • Memory: 16GB RAM
  • Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon RX 480 4GB
  • Graphics card (Nvidia): Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
  • DirectX: 11.1 Compatible video card or equivalent
  • Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection
  • Available Disk Space: 50GB

Minimum cpu requirement is a little bit weird, even this 4690k at stock stomps on any fx in games.

Seems odd the requirements are so high.

I'm running an i7 920 OC'd to 3.5 Ghz along with an AMD 295X2 and 12GB of mem. Think I'll run into any problems? I have yet to with any game yet considering CPU horsepower.

That still ought to do fine for 1080p.

Almost time to buy Battlefield 4 for me, they gave me all the expansions already, just have to buy the main game. I did this on purpose because the first few months of Battlefield 3 were a mess.

I can vouch that beta was CPU heavy. Game was pushing my heavily overclocked 2500k to its limits. All four cores usage was at 80% and i felt that if i had faster CPU framerate would be higher even with this old R9 280X. If i had something like RX480 i would probably be bottlenecked even at 4.8ghz, lol.
