AMD is working on a B2 stepping of the Ryzen 5000 CPUs. They have now been discovered for products of two motherboard manufacturers.

The information appears to have been obtained from ASRock and MSI support pages, according to dataminer Momomo on Twitter. However, it does not appear that the stepping will result in any performance benefits or other modifications. Instead, the stepping will provide AMD with a competitive advantage in terms of production. AMD has also recently confirmed that this is the case. This means that it will not be the CPUs with cache chiplets that will be affected.

According to this information, motherboards, at the very least from ASRock and MSI, are now compatible with B2 processors.
