August is named for an AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT release
AMD is preparing the 6600 (XT) launch in August 2021. The card will allegedly arrive with a staggering MSRP price of U.S. $399, or around $100 lower than the one of RX 6700 XT. Ther cards are released as custom-design cards solely.
It is believed that the Radeon RX 6600 XT is based on 7 nm "Navi 23," however it needs to be seen whether that GPU is being used. The typical memory volume will be 8 GB, buffered by a 32 MB Infinity Cache via a 128-bit wide GDDR6 interface. The card is expected to perform ±5% of the RX 5700 XT and the GTX 1080 Ti, which could make it an imposing card at 1080p, or at 1440p with FSR.
The lack of a retail model of a reference-design (MBA) implies that the card is not offered via the AMD website.

hmmmm,$50 higher msrp that 3060.
there's 30-40% between 3060 and 6700xt though,so it may well end up 15-25% faster than 3060.
It'd be a good buy if it's as high as 15-25% faster than the 3060.

Isnt the 3060 close or same level of performance as 5700xt and 2070S? Im expecting 6600xt to land just there.

closer to 5700xt,2070S is at least 10% faster.
it'd be a tough sell for 399 if it's like 5700xt and 8G.
