ASUS Zephyrus Duo 15 is a little weird with two screens

We talked about this one a while ago, now officially announced (not released) the Zephyrus Duo 15, a 15.6-inch gaming notebook equipped with a second display (yep) and GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER was released yesterday.



ASUS releases the Zephyrus Duo 15, a gaming notebook PC with a 15.6-inch main display and a sub-display that resides just above the keyboard . It will be introduced to the market as the first gaming notebook to introduce the concept that attracted attention in the "ZenBook Pro Duo".

The main display has a refresh rate of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels at 60Hz or 1,920 x 1,080 pixels at 300Hz / 3ms and supports NVIDIA G-SYNC. The 14.1-inch sub-display "ROG ScreenPad Plus" has a resolution of 3,840 x 1,100 dots, so you can check messages and watch sites while playing games (as yeah, that's what we all want to right?). Supports touch operation and pen input with the has been provided by a active stylus "ASUS Pen", it can be tilted up to 13 degrees.

 

 

The CPU is a Core i9-10980HK (or Core i7-10875H) operating at a maximum of 5.3GHz, and the graphics are equipped with GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER for mobile. In addition to a cooling system consisting of four heat sinks and five heat pipes, the thermal compound uses thermal metal grease made by Thermal Grizzly. The "Active Aerodynamic System (AAS)" that opens the entire bottom opening when the hinge is opened ensures good airflow. 

In addition, the memory has a maximum of 32GB of DDR-3,200MHz operation, and the storage has a maximum of 2TB of SSD adopting RAID 0 configuration. The interface is equipped with Thunderbolt 3, etc., and the network supports Wi-Fi 6. Built-in 90Wh battery compatible with USB PD power supply. Dimensions are 360mm wide, 268mm deep, 20mm high, and weigh 2.4kg.

The price is TBA but we heard the Base version of this laptop with the i7-10875H processor and RTX 2070 Super graphics is set for $2999, with the top version going for $3999. That’s 2999/3999 GBP in the UK and EUR across Europe. Availability is scheduled for July 2020.
