These mug-shots and info on ASUS motherboards should have been undwer wraps until Computex. But ASUS USA apparantly decided to lift the embargo. Any discussion about  Haswell and its accompanying platform is off-topic, but the motherboards can be shown and discussed. Have a peek after the break.

The Z87 Deluxe is going gold with gold-anodized heatsinks. Asus will roll out a full range of boards spanning Mini-ITX, microATX, and ATX form factors. The Deluxe pictured above is the top ATX model that doesn't belong to Asus' separate TUF or ROG product families. It boasts plenty of toys, including wicked-fast 802.11ac Wi-Fi and more 6Gbps SATA and USB 3.0 ports than any sane person should need.

Asus Improved its AI Suite software, a new interface that consolidates overclocking, power management, and fan controls in a single window. The built-in system tuner is capable of making optimizations in all those areas automatically, which should help newbies settle on a well-rounded config. The top of the line Z87-PRO has all ASUS-exclusive features of the Z87-PLUS like a 12-phase CPU power three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots wired to the CPU (x16/NC/NC or x8/x8/NC or x8/x4/x4), four PCI-Express x1 slots, eight internal and two external SATA ports, six USB 3.0 ports, 8-channel HD audio, gigabit Ethernet, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), display outputs that include DVI, D-Sub, HDMI, and DisplayPort.
