ASUS will release its ROG STRIX SQ7 NVMe SSD.

ASUS teased its forthcoming NVMe SSD. The teaser image depicts a ROG STRIX SQ7 NVMe SSD disk. This device offers 1TB storage through M.2 PCIe Gen4 interface.

The SSD is M.2 2280 and supports PCIe Gen 4/4. Sadly, no Gen5 SSD has been seen yet, but ASUS may be testing the market before entering the premium SSD segment. The teaser comes barely 3 weeks before Computex 2022. It's possible the new SSD will be introduced at ASUS' "Boundless" event on May 17.

Except for RAM modules, ASUS already sells practically every PC component. But this will soon allow ASUS fans to build all-ASUS computers. Among the main three: ASUS, MSI, and Gigabyte, only the latter presently offers a full range of items, from keyboards to PC hardware to monitors. But ASUS has a lead in furnishings, thanks to its IKEA connection.

Named after the Audi SQ7 twin turbo V8 Diesel. They go pretty fast too.

That they do for a SUV. I love my RS5 we just traded in a SQ7 for a F150 lol. We have a E-Tron on order had to have something to haul a tractor, mower and all the other crap as we are building a new house on 40 Achers of land. Pretty good deal when Ford has to pay you 25K to buy a new truck.

If it doesn't perform better on a Strix mobo it'll just be another also ran in the PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe SSD market like Adata and Kingston
