ASUS VZ279QG1R is a 27-inch IPS gaming display that minimizes motion blur with its own ELMB

ASUS announced the release of their new gaming liquid crystal display, the VZ279QG1R. This display features a 27-inch IPS liquid crystal panel with a maximum resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and a slim design.

The panel itself has an ultra-slim design of 7.5 mm and a three-sided narrow frame. The VZ279QG1R also boasts a number of advanced technologies for improved gaming performance. It supports AMD FreeSync and ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB) technology for motion blur reduction, eliminating ghosting and tearing to enhance the visual experience. With a refresh rate of 75Hz, a response speed of 1ms, a maximum brightness of 250cd/m2, and a contrast ratio of 1,000:1, this display is designed for high-performance gaming.

Additionally, it includes "GamePlus" with game functions such as crosshair, timer, and FPS counter, and is TÜV Rheinland certified for flicker-free and low blue light technology. The input interface includes DisplayPort 1.2 × 1 and HDMI 1.4 × 1, as well as an earphone jack. The external dimensions are 612.6mm in width, 213mm in depth, 431mm in height, and 3.9kg in weight.

Can i have 1440p/4k verison of this with TN panel? yah that anit happen everything is IPS( ips glow is deal breaker) and sup par VA (ridiculous slow response time and overshoot) compare to 55" tv that I have 15~25ms response time and zero over shoot at 60hz.

Maybe i just to picky or i grew up and when standards where much higher and quality mattered which made me unwilling to worse standards.

I will probably be dead before i see a 27" 1440p/4k oled for 399$ if it ever happen maybe this will replace it and actual be soon and cheaper

It's (probably) going to be several thousand more years before you'll see a 27" 1440p+ OLED for $400 USD, until then, for the price this is the best option available IMO if you get it on a good sale (use coupon/saving apps to auto find). I got it from Dell Canada at $100 CAD off +$130 more off with a coupon. So far it's been mostly great. The only critical flaw is that out of the box the HDR mapping in games/fullscreen is broken and you have to go into the menu to fix it (turn on "console mode" then through that turn on "source tone map"). Unlike the original version it has user upgradable firmware, so maybe a fix will come.

There are upcoming monitors that are 1440p 240Hz OLEDs, but AFAIK those start at $1K USD and aren't as likely as Dell monitors to quickly go on sale.

Edit: I forgot that in the US the LG C2 can be found for $800. So if you don't mind an enormous 42" TV sitting on your desk, that's an option.

recently purchased the 1440p 165hz ips version of this monitor, it was on sale at local retail for ~225$ usd, a steal, its alot better than I thought it would be , latency is good, has elmb . Its worth it if you have a really old monitor like I did (16:10 monitor from 2007) and you can find it for a good price. I was trying to hold out for an oled or qned display but it looks like it will still be some time until that tech hits monitor land for a reasonable price.

How far should you be from the panel ? The resolution seem a bit low for a 27"?
My 4K panels are 27-28" but I literally have my nose on it.

i very picky about something i gona be infront daily, ips glow is deal break less one hit lotto get panel with out any ips glow it a no go and all them i tried suffer from it. VA is option if i find panel that same response time and zero over shoot like my current TV is, but i have not seen single VA panel that has been able to match that. the one the i seen that about same have horrid over shoot or have really bad response time and no overshoot.

I been thinking of getting LG oled TV 42 doing away with tv/monitor combo, but even if i mounted 42" on wall that would way to close when sitting at desk. though if i get one on really nice sale i would probably buy it

For now i will settle for TN panel that 1440p/4k with free sync/gsync compatibility which seem impossible to find most new TN panel i see are 1080p and i want min of 1440p now

i wish my didnt have bad ocd in that regard, other wise i would just left be. but i refuse to have worse quality then current monitor
