ASUS RT-AC68U dual-band 802.11ac router has personal cloud
ASUS announced the launch of the RT-AC68U - the world's first dual-band 802.11ac router with blisteringly fast combined AC1900 data rates of 1900Mbit/s and personal cloud storage support. 802.11ac is three-times faster than 802.11n, but the RT-AC68U is faster still with a 2.4GHz data rate of 600Mbit/s. This is an incredible 33% faster than ordinary Wi-Fi routers, making the RT-AC68U perfect for taking the strain off congested home networks.
SUS RT-AC68U - the world's first AC1900 router
The ASUS RT-AC68U is the world's first dual-band 802.11ac router and also features ASUS AiRadar technology that uses beam forming to focus the Wi-Fi for a stronger connection that's less prone to interference. As a result, the RT-AC68U gives 150% greater coverage than other routers.
The RT-AC68U also includes exclusive ASUS AiCloud technology, with a Router-to-Router Sync feature that makes light work of sharing files without the fuss of managing user access rights and FTP access. A simple invitation allows photos, videos and other files on USB-attached storage to be synchronized automatically to USB-attached storage on other compatible ASUS routers, without the need for a switched-on PC at either end.
ASUS AiCloud platform support
ASUS AiCloud is integrated into specific versions of the ASUSWRT interface, and requires routers with a USB port. ASUS AiCloud offers complete cloud access with a host of features while maintaining strict security and privacy. Customers can sync, share, stream, and access content located on connected USB storage from any location, using the RT-AC68U as their home cloud server. ASUS AiCloud is compatible with iOS, Android, and Windows PC. It merges seamlessly with the ASUS WebStorage service and offers link-based sharing. Customers can send a link for other users to download shared content from, which is much faster than navigating a public cloud interface. This can be done via email, SMS, or popular applications such as WhatsApp and LINE.
ASUS Ai Radar Optimized and Reliable Wireless Coverage
ASUS Ai Radar's unique design increases wireless signal coverage and quality without consuming additional power. This technology simply adapts beam patterns to local conditions to enable higher-gain directional signal emulation. Ai Radar shapes signals to offer the strongest possible output, transforming what may be a weak omnidirectional signal to a stronger unidirectional one, improving throughput at same time.
