ASUS ROG Swift PG35VQ Is Now Available

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced that the ROG Swift PG35VQ gaming monitor is now available Featuring a 35-inch UWQHD (3440 x 1440) resolution HDR panel with a 21:9 aspect ratio, overclockable 200Hz refresh rate and 4ms response time, ROG Swift PG35VQ is an ultra-wide masterpiece brimming with advanced features and technology to take gaming visuals to the next level of immersion and fluidity.

With full array local dimming (FALD) LED backlighting that’s dynamically controlled across 512 zones, a peak brightness of 1,000 nits in each zone with DisplayHDR 1000 certification, and NVIDIA G-SYNCTM Ultimate technology, ROG Swift PG35VQ delivers nuanced and realistic scenes with detailed shadows and highlights stunning contrast, cinematic colour, and low latency to deliver the best HDR gaming experiences. In addition to its advanced panel, ROG Swift PG35VQ comes with Smart Fan Control, an ROG-exclusive feature that ensures optimised cooling and whisper-quiet operation by dynamically controlling the fan speed based on thermal requirements. The monitor also features a foolproof VESA mounting kit, ASUS Aura sync for harmonised, system-wide lighting effects and a hi-fi-grade ESS 9118 digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) for exceptional gaming audio.

The pricing of this monitor should sit around the €2,699 marker.

  • NVIDIA G-SYNC Ultimate features the latest G-SYNC processors to deliver the best HDR gaming experience
  • Full array local dimming (FALD) backlight provides 512 independent LED zones, 500,000:1 contrast ratio and 1000 nits peak brightness
  • Quantum-dot technology provides accurate colour imagery and supports a cinema-standard DCI-P3 90% colour gamut
  • ROG-exclusive design with Smart Fan Control, foolproof VESA mount kit, Aura Sync and an ESS 9118 headphone amp enhance gaming experiences

Fast, silky-smooth and immersive gaming

ROG Swift PG35VQ features a 35-inch UWQHD (3440 x 1440) resolution HDR panel with a 21:9 aspect ratio. With an astonishing overclockable 200Hz refresh rate and 4ms response time (gray-to-gray), it handles fast-moving visuals with ease and makes them smoother and more realistic than ever. It also features NVIDIA G-SYNCTM Ultimate technology with the latest NVIDIA G-SYNC processors to make games come alive with stunning contrast, cinematic colour, and low latency.

The ultimate HDR experience

With full array local dimming (FALD) technology, ROG Swift PG35VQ dynamically controls the LED backlight across 512 zones, providing very high contrast for richer, more natural-looking dark scenes. The LEDs can be turned on and off selectively to create a wide range of dynamic luminance for a much richer, more nuanced image. DisplayHDR 1000 certified, ROG Swift PG35VQ can achieve a peak brightness 1000 nits in each LED zone, ensuring bright whites and brilliant colours. Quantum-dot technology

provides accurate colour imagery and supports a cinema-standard DCI-P3 90% colour gamut. DCI-P3 enables a wider colour range than sRGB, resulting in more realistic colour reproduction.

Optimised hardware design

In addition to its advanced, ultra-wide display, ROG Swift PG35VQ has an array of carefully considered design features that further enhance performance, usability and style. ROG-exclusive Smart Fan Control ensures the exact rotational speed needed to maintain ideal thermals without overdoing it and causing unnecessary noise. The platform’s fans operate efficiently, generating barely more than a whisper.

Considering that many gamers will prefer to mount ROG Swift PG35VQ on a wall, the monitor comes with an intuitive VESA mount kit that provides easy attachment with just four screws and leaves plenty of space for venting thermals. In addition to wall mounting, the VESA mount enables ROG Swift PG35VQ to be attached to a display arm for maximum flexibility and viewing comfort.

ROG Light Signature is a feature of ROG monitors that enables gamers to project personalised lighting effects on the desktop surface. ROG Swift PG35VQ takes this iconic design feature a step further as the first ROG monitor to incorporate Aura Sync. In addition to being able to create their own lighting patterns, gamers can now customise the colours and harmonise the effects with their whole gaming system for a unified look that expresses their individual gaming style.

ROG Swift PG35VQ is the first gaming monitor with a built-in ESS 9118 digital-to-analogue converter (DAC), a single-chip audio processor delivering 24-bit/192 kHz lossless playback with unprecedented dynamic range and ultralow distortion for clear and immersive gaming audio.

VA is not suitable for fast paced gaming at all. Regardless of refresh rate. Tried tons of VA "gaming monitors" including CFG70 and it is really not what I would consider a fast monitor.

Played around with it for a week and no matter what settings I used I could see blur (even with BFI, it was just slightly less).

VA is awesome for TV and Console, for PC I'm avoiding it from now on. It's simply too slow. Up to 50 ms depending on colors shown (black to white or white to black are insanely slow for example).
This is my opinion too after I read up about it on Blurbusters website.

I wonder if they will make a 2k 30 inch version? I'm a few years out of wanting to jump to 4k.

I think I'll wait until LED's become small enough and cost effective enough for monitor usage, because this is just....stupid amounts of money for a gaming monitor. What I mean by that is this: if anyone buys this monitor for gaming - they are categorically stupid.

My "basic" 10-bit IPS monitor with <5ms input lag is just fine thankyouverymuch.
