ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQX Available Late May - Mini LED, 144 Hz and HDR1400

ASUS announced that ROG Swift PG32UQX will be available on shelves by the end of May 2021. Swift PG32UQX is a 32-inch, 144 Hz NVIDIA G-SYNC ULTIMATE 4K gaming monitor that delivers incredibly lifelike gaming visuals. It has 1,152 independent mini LED zones that give it a peak brightness of 1400 nits, while quantum-dot technology and true 10-bit color depth enable over a billion colors for accuracy and smoother gradations.

Swift PG32UQX features DisplayHDR 1400 certification to provide gamers with outstanding HDR visuals. The monitor utilizes 1,152-zone mini LED backlighting with full-array local dimming (FALD) technology to showcase the brightest whites and darkest black hues for lifelike HDR imagery with incredible contrast and minimal halo effects. A peak brightness of 1400 nits makes small in-game details like street lights and muzzle flashes appear brighter and more realistic than ever before.
Swift PG32UQX delivers the best colors in its class, utilizing quantum-dot technology and true 10-bit color depth to provide a cinema-grade 98% DCI-P3 color gamut. Each monitor is factory pre-calibrated to Delta E < 2 color accuracy for the very best color reproduction.

Supersmooth 4K gaming
Swift PG32UQX can run 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) content at up to 144 Hz for supersmooth gaming and takes advantage of Display Streaming Compression technology to run native 4K resolution content at up to 144 frames per second via a single DisplayPort™ 1.4 connection, without compromising visual fidelity.
Featuring the latest NVIDIA G-SYNC processor, Swift PG32UQX is a G-SYNC ULTIMATE display that delivers the very best gaming experiences with lifelike HDR visuals, stunning contrast, cinema-grade colors, and ultra-low latency.
Additionally, variable-refresh-rate technology enables support for 4K visuals at refresh rates of up to 120 Hz , allowing gamers to experience next-gen gaming on consoles like the Xbox Series X, with no visual tearing and minimal stuttering.

Built-in conveniences
Swift PG32UQX includes gamer-centric features such as LiveDash OLED and OSD Dial to improve the user experience. The built-in LiveDash OLED on the lower bezel of Swift PG32UQX can be programmed to show useful system information such as temperatures, voltages, fan speeds, or system frequency. LiveDash can also be used to display customized images or animations. Meanwhile, the OSD Dial at the bottom of the monitor lets users conveniently scroll through the on-screen display menu and quickly adjust brightness and other color parameters. A USB port and tripod socket on top of the monitor accommodate a lighting kit and webcam, allowing Swift PG32UQX to be easily set up for streaming.

Still only hdmi 2.0 - are you kidding me?! This is gonna be at least a 3k USD monitor, and they can't even include the latest revision of hdmi ?! -_-

Hard pass for me, cause that means compression for 4k 144 hz.

It looks like even on DP it's limited - can't do 4k 144Hz / 4k 120Hz HDR. I can't understand it.

Displayport 1.4 supports DSC too so 4K 144Hz should be just fine

I think the point here is people don't want DSC.

What does the C in DSC stand for? Bingo, compression.

I don't want to use compression, regardless of which kind it is.
