Asus has announced its ROG Swift PG27UQX an improved successor to the PG27UQ. The new monitor takes over the technical features of its predecessor but should have better backlighting and quieter fans thanks to Mini LED backlight with 576 zones.



Asus uses mini LED backlight technology on the ROG Swift PG27UQX . The LEDs are significantly smaller than in the ROG Swift PG27UQ , allowing Asus to raise the illumination zones from 384 to 576. A total of 2,304 LEDs are now integrated in the monitor, the advantage is to have a more even backlight. In addition, the halo effect to have been reduced by up to 33 percent, the power consumption should be seven percent lower. Another improvement lies in the fan control, which should be possible quieter operation than the predecessor. Asus says that the dual fans produce "little more than a whisper".
