Its nice to see new high resolution and high refresh rate products coming out.

People talking about screen distance, weird to hear because for shooter games I usually use my 27" at about 5~6" distance.
For strategy games I'll keep it around 12", and for movies or RPG i'll move it back further.

Pixel density is about right at 1440p on a 27", at around 2ft its comfortable enough to play most games without anti aliasing.
A larger display I think wouldn't look as good at this resolution.

5-6"? Geez, I can't even see the edges of my screen at 6" lol

Another difference between this and the old Swift, as far as I can tell, is that this new monitor is not 3D Vision ready.

Considering the old Swift is one of the best 3D Vision monitors out there, that they seem to be dropping support for 3D Vision is seriously sad news for some of us.

3D Vision isn't really marketed anymore. I'm surprised Nvidia is actually still supporting it.
When it works its great though.

I can't believe TN panels are still a thing, I'd go for the Asus PG279Q over this any day of the week.

$700 and that is ok cuz gamerz?

Please would u like me to bend over to make the process easier? :)

I claim they are out of touch. Or their research knows how stupid I actually am.

and why is that a problem?
did they put a gun to your head and forced you to buy it?

a company offers a product at a certain price, and you can buy it, or not.

or are you one of those guys standing in front of a porsche/ferrari dealership, holding a sign that their prices are out of touch?!

For me with my display at about 6" I have an extra 6~8" of peripheral vision beyond the sides of the display. :D

I guess it depends on how sensitive your peripheral vision is.

When I first went to 27" from 22" It felt huge! Took a few weeks for my eyes to adjust to the extra viewing space. But now it feels about the right size for me.
