The Asus ROG Strix Helios chassis, that was announced at Computex in June 2018 is ROG themed and has lots of glass, RGB LEDs and an aluminum base. The price is now known, 279 euros and that is rather high.
This first chassis under the ROG label Asus relies on plenty of tempered glass, a massive aluminum frame and a carrying strap on the top. At 18 kilograms weight without hardware that seems quite appropriate. The front of the case has a by a color-lit motif, which lightas up ROG. The ROG logo and the ROG logo can also be found on the front. Inside there is plenty of room for big hardware. The case can hold EATX motherboards as well as a 420 mm radiator in the front. In addition, up to two graphics cards can be mounted vertically, which underlines the showcase nature of the case.
For its I/O panel, Asus offers USB 3.1 Gen 2 (type C) as well as four USB 3.0 ports (type A), a controller for RGB lighting, fan control and audio input and output. Removable dust filters are also located in the front, bottom and lid. Three 140mm case fans in the front and one in the rear are already included with the purchase. The MSRP for the housing is 279 euros including VAT and will be available in stores from the beginning of May.
