ASUS has declared the forthcoming launch of the ROG Matrix GPU, following the RTX 2080 Ti series. In a specific event, the company displayed their newest graphics card, equipped with a novel All-in-One (AIO) cooling mechanism.

This includes a significant 360mm radiator and three ROG MF-12S ARGB fans, aimed at keeping the temperature under 60°C, even at a total graphics power consumption of 450W.

A notable feature of the new Matrix GPU by ASUS is its use of liquid metal on the die, a technique that's complex in the GPU industry. For safe application, ASUS engineered a specialized coldplate that adequately shields the GPU, memory, and VRM section from potential liquid metal leaks. This aligns with ASUS' proficiency in using liquid metal thermal compounds, as already seen in their gaming ROG laptops.

The radiator’s magnetic connectors allow for superior cable management by reducing visible wires. According to ASUS, color synchronization and power supply to the fans and radiator are subtly enabled via a cable concealed within a cooling tube. This strategy effectively tackles a longstanding design issue related to graphics cards with AIO coolers.

ASUS is set to introduce the ROG Matrix RTX 4090 in the upcoming quarter, along with a collector's edition variant priced around $2000. Gamers and tech aficionados eagerly await this GPU for its advanced performance and sophisticated cooling techniques.
