The latest mobile processors from AMD, the Ryzen 9 7845HX "Dragon Range" processors, have been designed for enthusiast-level notebooks.

These 12-core/24-thread processors offer performance that rivals that of desktop Ryzen 9 7900X processors, when paired with certain ASUS ROG laptops and enabled with a power limit of up to 130 W, along with Precision Boost Overdrive 2 (PBO2).

Even when running at stock settings, the 7845HX can draw up to 110 W of power, resulting in impressive single-threaded boost frequency of 5.25 GHz, and 4.70 GHz all-core frequency, and a Cinebench R23 multi-threaded score of around 25000 points. However, by activating the Enhanced mode on ASUS ROG laptops, power limits are raised and the 7845HX can draw up to 130 W of power, leading to temperatures of up to 93 °C and greatly improving boost frequency residency. What's more, the 7845HX is "unlocked," and ASUS ROG laptops offer advanced manual overclocking controls via the UEFI setup program, which are comparable to those found on desktop platforms. With the right adjustments, manual overclocking combined with PBO2, Curve Optimizer, and Maximum Boost Technology, can increase the single-threaded boost to 5.45 GHz and multi-threaded boost to 5.10 GHz, resulting in a 14% improvement in Cinebench R23 score over the stock frequency, hitting 28542 points. This is on-par with the performance of the desktop Ryzen 9 7900X, a processor with a higher TDP.
