ASUS ROG Introduces Strix Gold Aura Edition PSU / ATX 3.0 Compatibility and Improved Cooling

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has launched the latest Strix Gold Aura Edition power supplies that are fully modular, feature ATX 3.0 compatibility, 16-pin PCIe support, and integrated Provide Aura Sync RGB lighting. The Strix Gold Aura Edition power supplies come in 750W, 850W, 1000W, and 1200W variants.

The Strix Gold Aura Edition series builds upon the stability, efficiency, and quiet operation of its predecessor, the Strix 850W Gold PSU. The modern graphics cards now require power delivery that complies with the ATX 3.0 standard, and the Strix Gold Aura Edition series has been designed to meet those needs.

The Strix Gold Aura Edition power supplies feature a larger heatsink that guarantees cool and quiet operation, ensuring lower temperatures, longer component life, and longer 0dB operation under light and medium loads. Moreover, the entire power supply is housed in a slim aluminum casing that doubles as a heatsink, further reducing temperatures and minimizing noise.

The Strix Gold Aura Edition power supplies are a top-of-the-line option for mainstream rigs of all kinds, delivering stable and efficient power supplies with improved cooling and compatibility with the latest technology. Heat dissipation is aided by a 135mm Axial-Tech fan equipped with double ball bearing to ensure long-term operation. It also features the same 80 PLUS Gold certification as its predecessor, with efficient, low-ESR Japanese capacitors that last up to twice as long as standard capacitors.

Probably the biggest upgrade, however, is the new 16-pin power connector for modern graphics cards. While previous power supplies required an adapter for use with certain modern graphics cards, the Strix Gold Aura Edition power supplies come with a native 16-pin PCIe cable that delivers up to 600W directly to graphics card models such as the Strix GeForce RTX™ 4090 or TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 without an adapter.

Also, as the name suggests, the Strix Gold Aura Edition series is now compatible with Aura Sync thanks to the new RGB lighting of the ROG Fearless Eye logo. With the included RGB interconnect cable, users can connect the power supply directly to a three-pin, addressable RGB header on the motherboard and sync the lighting to the rest of the system - now the power supply can enjoy the same unique lighting patterns as other connected ROG devices.
