ASUS ROG G551 and G771 Gaming Laptops

ASUS announces their ROG G Series G551 and G771 gaming laptops. These new G Series models represent a performance leap over their predecessors, with up to Intel Core i7 processors and enthusiast-grade NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics for the horsepower to drive today's games .

The G Series laptops exhibit their visual prowess with wide-angle IPS displays, and provide gamers with Full HD visuals. There's also 4K/UHD-ready Trinity Display output for multi-monitor gaming or multitasking. The distinctive G Series design features a matte-black brushed-aluminum finish with red diamond-cut edges, and bears an illuminated ROG logo on the lid. The keyboards are designed especially for gamers, and the almost-silent cooling system efficiently removes heat with minimum fan noise.

Enthusiast-grade gaming performance

The new G Series laptops are powered by up to Intel Core i7 processors for the performance required by the latest gaming titles; while enthusiast-grade NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M/860M graphics with Microsoft DirectX 11 provide sharper visuals and smoother in-game animations. To cope with the amazing power, G Series features an advanced cooling system that efficiently removes heat with minimal fan noise so as not to disrupt the gaming experience.

Audiovisuals that deliver immersive game worlds
The G Series comes in 15- and 17-inch guises (G551 and G771) and can be specced with up to a Full HD (1920 x 1080 resolution) display. The IPS displays have wide 178-degree viewing angles, so color shift is minimized even when viewed from extreme positions in both the horizontal and vertical planes. Gamers are guaranteed accurate, lifelike colors that further enhance their gaming experience. Trinity Display technology enables users to hook their G Series up to three other external displays via HDMI 1.4 or Mini DisplayPort 1 - ideal for multi-monitor gaming and multitasking.

SonicMaster Premium provides rich, crystal-clear high-fidelity audio while ROG AudioWizard features five easy-to-use preset modes with settings tailored to suit different game genres. And since most LAN gamers utilize headsets, G Series laptops incorporate a powerful headphone amplifier that has been fine-tuned by audio specialists in the ASUS Golden Ear team for an even more immersive experience.

ROG-infused design
Aesthetically, the G Series exudes ROG DNA, sporting a premium matte-black brushed-aluminum finish, red diamond-cut edges and an illuminated ROG logo on the lid. In keeping with the ROG theme, the G Series has a seamless one-piece chiclet keyboard and specially-marked WASD keys for easy navigation and gameplay. The backlit keys glow red to make it easy for gamers to read keys in dim environments, and further adds to the ROG mystique.
