ASUS Republic of Gamers is pleased to announce the launch of the ROG Fusion II 500 gaming headset.

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced the ROG Fusion II 500, a full-featured gaming headset with advanced virtual 7.1 surround sound, ESS 9280 Quad DAC technology, and ASUS AI beamforming microphones with AI noise cancellation that delivers lifelike, immersive sound and crystal-clear, flexible in-game communication.

The ROG Fusion II series headset features advanced 7.1 virtual surround sound, high-resolution ESS 9280 Quad DAC™ technology and 50mm ASUS Essence drivers. Designed for gaming advantage, it achieves an unprecedented 130dB SNR to pinpoint shots or explosions on the battlefield. It is one of the few gaming headsets on the market that comes with the ESS 9280 Quad DAC to offer gamers lossless audio processing. Each DAC assigns its power to a subset of the audible frequency range - from the bass to the mids and treble to the ultra-high - for clear and pristine sound. ASUS AI Beamforming microphones with AI Noise Cancelation ensure clear and natural reproduction of human voices with minimal distortion. The microphones are integrated in the ear cups, so that no additional equipment is required. This not only ensures a liberating feeling, but also a more flexible use. The Discord and TeamSpeak certified microphones create a 40° acoustic zone in front of the player's mouth and filter out distracting background noise from other directions for clear voice pickup. In addition, AI noise cancellation identifies and reduces over 500 million types of background noise such as chatter, keyboard noise and mouse clicks by up to 95%.

With ROG Fusion II 500's game chat volume control, gamers can adjust the volume of in-game audio and voice chat to their preference using the volume control on the ear cups. This instant and intuitive control facilitates team-based voice communication to understand tactics more precisely and issue commands more clearly.

The headset features customizable Aura RGB lighting that offers gamers over 16.8 million color combinations and six preset lighting effects via Armory Crate. This software offers gamers rich controls and an intuitive interface to customize audio profiles and lighting.

With a 3.5mm jack, USB-C® and USB Type-A connectivity, ROG Fusion II 500 is compatible with a wide range of devices, including laptops and PCs, mobile devices and gaming consoles. In addition, the ergonomic ear cups adapt to the natural angle of the ears to ensure a perfect fit. The headset weighs only 310 grams and is equipped with two types of ear pads for different wearing experiences. The ROG Fusion II 500 is now available in stores at an RRP of €219.90

What's next full sized Oled screens on either side. RoG already do it with power supplies. I'm pretty sure i've seen a twitch streamer wearing a RoG headset with images being shown on the sides too.

an SNR of 130db is not to be sniffed at for £200. I'd like to know if these are beryllium coated drivers though. Be a shame not to use that at this price with a separate dac for each frequency range. I prefer 2.4ghz wireless but I understand for 130db snr you require a cable.
