ASUS ProArt Display OLED PA32DC, the world's first OLED reference monitor with auto-calibration, is available today. It features a built-in motorized flip colorimeter that ensures professional-level color accuracy. This 31.5-inch 4K (3840 x 2160) HDR reference monitor features a state-of-the-art OLED panel with RGB sub-pixel layout and 99% DCI-P3 coverage to deliver highly accurate color that captures the finest details stand out in any composition. The design of the PA32DC has won multiple awards, including the Red Dot Award 2022 and the Japan Good Design Award 2021.

Support for multiple HDR formats gives creators the ideal platform for working with rapidly changing HDR content. For comfort and convenience, the PA32DC includes a pair of monitor feet and a stand to accommodate any viewing position and workspace.

Professional color accuracy is assured with ASUS Auto Calibration, ASUS ProArt calibration software, Calman professional hardware calibration software and Light Illusion ColourSpace CMS – and the PA32DC is factory pre-calibrated to guarantee an industry-leading Delta E<1 color accuracy.

It also offers VESA DisplayHDR™ 400 True Black certification and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio to ensure the deepest blacks and brightest whites, allowing the PA32DC to accurately reproduce even the smallest details in shadows and bright lights - for a extremely realistic representation. A super-fast response time of 0.1 ms ensures blur-free videos or animated content.

Impressive OLED technology
ProArt Display OLED PA32DC uses OLED technology to achieve ultra-precise control and extreme contrast by turning each individual pixel into its own light source. The new display features an OLED panel with RGB sub-pixel layout and billions of self-illuminating pixels that can be individually activated to reproduce truly lifelike images with deep blacks and enhanced color contrast for high-luminance images. These features make the PA32DC an ideal device for mastering HDR content.

The PA32DC delivers exceptionally detailed and realistic images that exceed industry standards for color reproduction, with a studio quality 99% DCI-P3 color gamut. This means the colors reproduced on the display are richer and more vibrant, making it ideal for colour-intensive projects but also enhancing any type of content. It also has true 10-bit color depth and can display more than 1.07 billion colors.

Designers, producers and companies that offer color solutions have to deal with color-critical decisions and communications on a daily basis. ProArt displays are pre-calibrated at the factory to ensure industry-leading color accuracy with a Delta E<1 color difference value - and the PA32DC is no exception. It undergoes rigorous and meticulous testing to ensure smoother color gradation, and each gray level is carefully measured and adjusted to conform to the DICOM standard for medical applications.

The PA32DC reproduces black tones perfectly. Because each OLED pixel uses self-generated lighting, it simply turns off to display the deepest black possible - for extremely sharp and clear images, even in the darkest scenes. VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black certification and a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 ensure the deepest blacks and brightest whites, allowing the PA32DC to accurately display even the smallest details in shadows and bright lights - for extremely realistic images.

All of this is supported by a fast response time of just 0.1ms, which ensures clear display of videos or animated content.

Intuitive and intelligent calibration
To maintain professional-level accuracy over the long term, the ProArt Display OLED PA32DC has a built-in motorized flip colorimeter that flips into position when needed, even when the display hood is in place. This feature makes it easy to calibrate the display if necessary.

The PA32DC can also be calibrated via ASUS ProArt calibration software and the look-up table can then be rewritten, providing accurate color matching and uniformity compensation. It writes and stores color parameter profiles on the PA32DC's internal scaler IC chip rather than on the PC, allowing the user to connect it to devices running different operating systems or applications without having to adjust the settings. The saved profiles can easily be activated via the hotkey on the monitor.

The integrated colorimeter also works seamlessly with the professional hardware calibration software Calman and Light Illusion ColourSpace CMS.

Uniform brightness setting
OLED displays have an automatic brightness limiter (ABL) to optimize power consumption. If a white (or light) image is displayed in a particular window, the display will automatically dim the image as the window size increases.

The optional Uniform Brightness feature in the OSD menu is particularly useful when switching between or resizing windows with vastly different contrast levels, as it keeps the brightness constant for comfortable viewing and more accurate colors even after hours of use.

Images in vivid HDR
The PA32DC supports multiple HDR formats, including HDR10 and Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG), for unmatched levels of brightness, contrast and color.

Multiple HDR10 curves are also supported, including PQ Hard Clip curve, PQ Optimized and PQ Basic - all to meet the specific needs of content creators and compatibility with existing video streaming services and a growing list of HDR-enabled games.

The PA32DC's HLG support means it's ready for professional use in the TV industry, allowing users to watch and create material for broadcast and satellite TV platforms such as BBC iPlayer, Japan NHK TV and DirecTV .

The PA32DC also features an HDR preview function for a better editing experience. This enables a direct camera-monitor connection to view recorded HDR content with its full tonal range. The feature also works with video editing software, allowing viewing of the final output for a streamlined editing process.

Optimized and efficient workflows
The PA32DC offers a full USB-C®, DisplayPort™ 1.4 and three HDMI® 2.0 ports for compatibility with current and future displays and peripherals. It also features a headphone jack and can act as a USB hub, allowing it to plug right into existing setups and workflows.

With two monitor feet and a stand, the PA32DC easily adapts to any scenario, allowing the user to find the optimal working or viewing position when working on site. The included ergonomic stand can be tilted, pivoted, rotated and adjusted in height. The ability to rotate the screen 90° clockwise or counterclockwise to portrait mode is especially useful when working with long documents, programming, or browsing websites. In addition, bundled clips facilitate cable management, keeping desks and workspaces tidy. Thanks to the sturdy and elegant metal handle, the PA32DC is easy to carry to any place where it is needed.

Designed for use in a variety of environments, the PA32DC features a wraparound hood that reduces on-screen reflections from nearby light sources. This allows the user to work without interference both in the studio and when recording outdoors. The automatic calibration also works when the monitor hood is attached.
