ASUS presents the Mini PC PL64

ASUS today introduced the Mini PC PL64, an industrial Mini PC with a fanless design that supports a 12th Gen Intel Core  i7 (15W) processor. Each PL64 device has been subjected to a series of reliability tests and the fanless design ensures optimal performance even in ambient temperatures of up to 50° C. This mini PC has two LAN ports including 2.5Gbps Ethernet, two COM ports, five USB ports and triple 4K display support at 60Hz.

The Mini PC PL64 features a new, near-silent, fanless design that minimizes dust intrusion into the case, thereby extending the life of the product. The fanless design and 15W CPU support make the PL64 ideal for industrial applications where reliability, durability and low noise are paramount.

The cooling system of the PL64 dissipates the heat efficiently, so that this mini PC can also be used in hot environments with up to 50 °C.

EDID emulation and virtual display
The Mini PC PL64 features EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) emulation and maintains the signage format, so displayed content is preserved even in the event of a temporary power outage or connectivity issues, making it ideal for digital signage. PL64 can also create virtual screens without an attached display. Virtual display technology allows the system to be accessed from a remote desktop without affecting the currently displayed content, allowing an administrator to manage the system remotely.

4K resolution and triple display support
The Mini PC PL64 can be specified with Intel Iris ® Xe Graphics (for i5/i7) or Intel UHD Graphics (for i3/Celeron ® ) to display videos and images in stunning 4K at a smooth 60Hz. In addition, the PL64 can support up to three 4K displays via HDMI, making it perfect for digital signage, billboard and advertising applications.

Two LAN and COM ports
Two LAN ports enable network splitting and provide network redundancy. One of the ports supports 2.5GBase-T (2.5G) network technology for speeds of 2.5Gbps for fast online performance. Two COM ports support older devices such as barcode scanners or receipt printers. These ports are compatible with the RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 standards and thus offer a wide range of possible applications.

WiFi 6E support
The Mini PC PL64 supports WiFi 6E thanks to an optional built-in module, which enables smooth streaming of high-definition videos, fewer disconnections and fast wireless performance in dense environments, even when the Mini PC PL64 is far away from the router. In addition, the module provides the Mini PC PL64 with an additional 160MHz high-speed channel.

Compact, wall-mountable housing
The 0.81 liter housing of the PL64 mini PC measures only 199.7 x 119.7 x 33.9 mm and thus fits into tight spaces or in structures for digital signage or kiosks. PL64 is compatible with VESA and wall mounts, offering versatile mounting options. The robust metal construction of the PL64 is also ideal for indoor industrial use, e.g. B. for kiosks, digital signage, vending machines, surveillance systems and factory automation.
