ASUS Offers ROG Strix XG258Q with FreeSync and 240 Hz support

ASUS Offers ROG Strix XG258Q with FreeSync and 240 Hz support

Earlier this tear ASUS launched the ROG Swift PG258Q, today they added the ROG Strix XG258Q, basically, the FreeSync version of that previously mentions GSync model.

Much like the ROG Swift PG258Q (GSYNC), the ROG Strix XG258Q (FreeSYnc) features a 24.5-inch TN panel with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and that refresh rate of up to 240 Hz.

For FreeSync the minimum refresh is 48 Hz, which unfortunately is a notch higher compared to the 30 Hz of the PG258Q. The panel is advertised at 1 ms and has a maximum brightness of 400 cd / m² with a contrast ratio of 1000: 1. At a brightness of 200 cd / m² the monitor consumes roughly 65W, in idle mode, this would be about 0.5W. Next to HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.2 also has an HDMI 2.0 connector and the unit has VESA ready mount at the backside. The ROG signature helix stand is also in play, but it now sports a graphite black scheme with red accents and the ROG LED projector below. It will offer height, tilt, swivel and pivot adjustments, so a comfortable angle is within reach while you game competitively.

The ASUS ROG Strix XG258Q surfaced in the EU already at retailers at a price of just above 500 euros.

Doesn't matter since real minimum is below 15Hz thanks to LFC.
