ASUS Offers 280 Hz Capable 27-inch Full HD TUF Gaming Monitor (VG279QM)
There is a trend in the monitor industry where everything needs to be faster, up to a point where it hardly makes sense anymore. ASUS has a monitor on the market that can manage 280 Hz, e.g. you'll need a PC, game and graphics card to run 280 FPS to maximize your experience.
The ASUS VG279QM monitor was spotted at Taiwan based Taobao and gets listed as an HDR400 screen. It would be G-Sync and thus Adaptive-Sync compatible. One interesting thing to point out, the monitor is listed as having an IPS panel with a static contrast ratio of 1000:1 Other specs listed include Grayscale response time: 1 ms and sRGB ≥99% Color gamut. The 27" panel offers a resolution of 1920x1080 and includes Displayport 1.2 and two HDMI 2.0 connectors.
As stated, Asus raises the bar for player monitors with the TUF Gaming VG279QM with a 280 Hertz fast panel. Most interesting and odd is the price, listed at ¥ 3699, which is 123 USD. We doubt that'll be the final pricing.

Interesting monitor for the plebs. If I recall correctly there are few or near to none FHD+HDR monitors. That's kinda unique. Fast IPS (not unworthy TN), HDR enabled and low resolution to push higher frames. It will sell like hotcakes if priced properly.

I've already got my 60 Hz 4K monitor with very accurate sRGB colors, thank you. Call me back then there is a 50" 8K montor with accurate Rec.2020 colors and 240 Hz refresh rate.
In fact, omit that refresh rate requirement entirely - just call me back when there is a 50" 8K monitor with accurate Rec.2020 colors and it doesn't run for $3000.
