mITX has seriously taken off lately and many models have been released for even high-end computers. But ASUS is about to release the ASUS Maximus VII (Z97 Express chipset) Impact that is enthusiast class from to to bottom alright. This 17x17cm PCb holds a 10 phases power delivery, and holds five add-on boards.
The CPU alone will get 8 phases, then 2 for memory. It has power/reset, clear CMOS, and ROG Connect buttons and diagnostic POST LEDs. We even spot a LN2 mode toggle. The PCB holds two DDR3 DIMM slots one PCI-Express 3.0 x16 M.2 and four SATA 6 Gb/s portt. Audio wise you will spot a SupremeFX Impact II, EMI-shielded 110 dBA SNR CODEC. It has audio-grade capacitors and a headphones amp as well.
Then there is a mPCIe Combo IV board, which features an mPCIe x1 slot on one side that holds 802.11 ac WLAN, there is a gigabit Ethernet (Intel) jack as well. There us a M.2 slot with PCIe 2.0 x4 link layer wiring on the other-side
Anyway just have a peek at the leaked photos. At one point you have got to wonder though, if you want all this, then just buy a regular size motherboard ?
