ASUS has recently launched the ROG Strix Impact III, a wired gaming mouse designed for mainly claw and fingertip grip types. The mouse measures 126 mm x 62 mm x 39 mm (LxWxH) and weighs only 59 g, making it one of the lightest gaming mice on the market.

The slender design of the mouse may not be the best fit for palm grips, but it is optimized for FPS gaming. The ROG Strix Impact III features a 5-button layout, including two main buttons, two left-side buttons, and a middle-click, along with a vertical scrollwheel. Additionally, the mouse has a physical button that allows users to cycle among dpi presets, which is set in the ROG Armory app. The mouse is equipped with a PixArt PAW3318 optical sensor with 12,000 dpi hardware resolution, 300 ips top speed, and 35 ips acceleration, along with a USB polling rate of 1000 Hz. The main buttons are backed by 70 million-click rated ROG microswitches, and the mouse also includes PFTE gliding feet and a braided USB cable.

Overall, the ROG Strix Impact III is a compact, quasi-ambidextrous gaming mouse that offers exceptional performance for FPS gaming. The pricing for this new gaming mouse has not been revealed by the company.
