Asus launches its GeForce RTX 2070 Dual Mini for ITX systems

Asus launches its GeForce RTX 2070 Dual Mini for ITX systems

Asus launched its new GeForce RTX 2070 Dual Mini 8GB, a more compact version of the RTX 2070 oriented ITX systems, which still has two fans.

Working closely with Intel, ASUS created a compact card that fits precisely into the Intel NUC 9 Extreme Kit and Intel NUC 9 Pro Kit. To keep temperatures in check, the shroud, heatsink, and heat pipe layout were designed to benefit as much as possible from the chassis' mesh side panel. Additionally, two Axialtech fans provide high static pressure for even more cooling gains. Originally crafted for top-end ROG graphics cards, Axial-tech fans feature a smaller hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring to whisk air efficiently through the entire heatsink. The cooling solution is so effective that it delivers lower GPU temperatures than many larger cards.

The graphics has a boost of 1680MHz in its OC mode, 60MHz more than the most basic editions of the RTX 2070. Even Asus did not mention price or availability.

But they have kept the extra 2cm on top of the card... this make it incompatible with a lot of ITX chasis :(

At least the PCB is small, should be possible to rig up something with an aftermarket cooler. I wouldn't mind seeing a "max-q" variant of one of these with a super compact, low profile blower.

Ha it looks very similar to the cheap Palit 2070 I bought while my 2080TI is being RMAed. Even the cooler looks similar.
Maybe some cheap Nvidia reference design?
Out of the box the clocks are low though (lower than 1800Mhz) and the cooler is really bad (almost 80°C in a well cooled case).
At the end of the day you're probably giving away 10%+ performance over a proper PCB/cooler 2070.
