ASUS 5X Protection - All-round protection provides the best quality, reliability, and durability
ASUS all-round 5X Protection enables ASUS motherboards to guard PC. The motherboard is equipped with quality components like DIGI+VRM digital power design for precise APU power on demand; ESD units that are tested to strict standards and helps in eliminating electrostatic interference and resettable fuses around DRAM slots that helps preventing overcurrent and short- circuit damage. A good VRM intelligently delivers APU power based on actual needs at any given time. Onboard resettable fuses prevent overcurrent and short-circuit damage. This extends beyond I/O ports to DRAM to safeguard system and device lifespan. ASUS high-quality solid state capacitors assure a 5,000-hour lifespan, equivalent to 2.5 times longer than traditional capacitors. ASUS motherboard back I/O panels are made from strong and corrosion-resistant stainless steel, which is bonded with a thin layer of chromium oxide to enhance anti-corrosive properties.
New UEFI BIOS - Exclusive EZ Mode adds useful info to become even easier
Media-renowned UEFI BIOS from ASUS provides the smoothest mouse-controlled graphical BIOS, and now features more intuitive functions to quickly direct the user to favorite BIOS pages and frequently-accessed settings through custom shortcuts. The all new EZ Mode has a whole new look, upgraded with extra-friendly capabilities like detailed fan controls, D.O.C.P profile settings, SATA information and fast clock adjustment.
Network iControl - Real-time network bandwidth management
The Network iControl prioritizes network traffic for applications that are being currently used. This feature also helps in avoiding network congestion, speeds up downloading, all through an intuitive user interface.
USB 3.0 Boost (UASP Support) - 170% faster transfer speeds than traditional USB 3.0
ASUS USB 3.0 Boost technology supports UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol) in Windows 8. With USB 3.0 Boost technology, a USB device's transmission speed is significantly increased up to 170%, adding to already fast USB 3.0 performance. ASUS software automatically accelerates data rates for compatible USB 3.0 peripherals without any user interaction.
Windows 8 Exclusive Features - ASUS Boot Setting, multiple startup options
ASUS Windows 8 hardware optimization, ASUS Boot Setting provides better flexibility in customizing PC's startup process. User can shorten system boot-up time to 2-seconds for a smoother user experience under Windows 8, and even previous versions of Windows. This motherboard supports AMD® A-series Accelerated Processor with AMD Radeon™ HD 7000/8000 Series Graphics. This revolutionary APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) combines processing power and advanced DirectX 11 graphics in one small, energy-efficient design to enable accelerated performance and an industry-leading visual experience. It features Dual-channel DDR3 memory support and accelerates data transfer rate up to 5GT/s AMD® A88X FCH (Bolton D4) is designed to support up to 5GT/s interface speed and PCI Express™ 2.0 graphics. It natively supports 8 x SATA 6Gb/s ports and 4 x USB 3.0 Ports.

Is it a mistake (typo) or is the lifespan of these capacitors REALLY only 5000 hours?
If one uses a computer, say, 8 hours a day, it is only some 600 days, which means a little more than a year and a half!!! Only 1.5 years?! But the old and plain (electrolitic) capacitors in my 15 years old hifi stereo set are still in a perfect condition (and I almost do not turn off my receiver!)!
And we are talking here of "military class" and it's "extreme durability"!!!
----------------------------
@after some researching, I found the complete info on lifespan of these capacitors:
-5000 hours is related to the extremely high temperature to which these components could be exposed - up to 105*C
-under the "normal" temp conditions (that is: below 80*C), the expected lifespan exceeds 10 years (though the review does not specify the number of hours per day)

yea I was going to say that has to be at max output/heat even crappy caps last forever in the right conditions.

I have not found reason yet to upgrade from my 85x board yet, but if I were to what would be my advantage aside from better cpu support down the line maybe? Maybe when the next series of APU's come out I'll look into it.
