ASUS Issues BIOS Updates for Kaby Lake LGA1151 Processors

ASUS announced that all 100-series motherboards will now support next-generation Intel Core processors. A quick and easy UEFI BIOS update unleashes the full potential of the next-generation high-performance CPUs for socket LGA 1151.

Owners of ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG), Pro Gaming, Signature and TUF Z170, H170, B150 and H110 motherboards are able to take advantage of the easy upgrade to the award-winning ASUS UEFI BIOS, which is available today via the relevant ASUS Support web page.

All ASUS 100-series motherboards that include the ASUS USB BIOS Flashback feature allow users to apply UEFI BIOS updates with ease. For other ASUS 100-series motherboards the necessary UEFI BIOS update takes just one click in an easy-to-use Windows-based BIOS updater application, ASUS EZ Update, which is available to download from the ASUS website.

Users keen to take advantage of the power of the next generation of LGA1151 Intel Core processors should visit product support page and download the relevant UEFI BIOS version today.

Just wanted to point out this support comes with bios version 2202 your chart also list 2201. The ucode was updated in 2202 for Kaby Lake. However with that said there are times when the bios revisions number do not remain in sync. What is notable is 2202 states the ucode update where 2201 was does not.

Anyway what I am getting at was 2201 for my Asus z170-A did not have the Kaby Lake Ucode and 2202 did. I asked about the ucode over at overclock.net and someone looked at the hex info from the 2202 vs 2201 toi find only the ucode was added to include Kaby lake.

The post from the guy breaking down the hex in the new bios: http://www.overclock.net/t/1568154/asus-north-america-asus-z170-motherboards-q-a-thread/5140#post_25547023

/edit Incidentally both bios 2201 and 2202 have been the best bios yet. Less ddr4 training time so faster booting, easier handling of xmp profiles and actually less voltage on secondary voltages rails for overclocking such as the SA and VCCIO.

Oh, I guess I should flash my Pro Gaming mobo then if it has such benefits aside from the Kaby compatibility. I updated the bios when I built the machine (it wouldn't accept more than a single DDR4 module installed straight out of the box, which made even a bios update impossible with both modules installed), but I haven't touched it since as there have (probably) been no problems caused by the bios.
