The ZenWiFi AX Hybrid shifts WiFi into high gear with a total bandwidth of 1,800 Mbit/s. WiFi 6 (802.11ax) is designed to communicate with multiple devices simultaneously, even when a large number of WiFi-enabled devices are used in a home network. WiFi 6 also uses the special target wake time technology, which reduces the power consumption of the connected devices by up to 7x and thus extends the battery life. It is fully compatible with all WiFi generations, so any device can be connected to the ZenWiFi AX Hybrid, whether it is 802.11ac, 802.11n or older WiFi standards.
High bandwidths and flexible backhaul configuration
ASUS ZenWiFi AX Hybrid uses HomePlug AV2 with MIMO and beamforming technologies, which use special signaling techniques to increase the available bandwidth over electrical wires to 1300 Mbps. That's almost twice as fast as the previous HomePlug standard!
Three alternative backhaul options are also available. Powerline, Ethernet and WiFi offer the greatest possible flexibility. The router selects the most reliable method based on the connection quality, while the type of backhaul connection can also be selected manually for full freedom.
In dialogue with the router
The ASUS ZenWiFi AX Hybrid works perfectly with smart home services - including Alexa, Amazon's cloud-based voice service. When the ASUS Router skill is enabled for Amazon's Alexa, Alexa-enabled devices can control the ASUS Router with voice commands—without lifting a finger. Alexa can turn off Wi-Fi when the family is having dinner or it's time for a good night's sleep.
