ASUS Dual GeForce GTX 1060 3GB Graphics Card Announced

ASUS has added the Dual GeForce GTX 1060 3GB. In white it matches with ASUS X99 A II motherboards for optimized style and performance, this mid-end graphics card is built with 1152 CUDA Cores, a 192-bit memory interface, a core clock of 1506MHz, a boost clock of 1708MHz and a 3GB of GDDR5 memory set @ 8008MHz.

Produced using Auto-Extreme technology with Super Alloy Power II components for premium quality and best reliability, the Dual GeForce GTX 1060 3GB comes equipped with a dual-fan cooling system (w/ ASUS’ patented Wing-Blade fans for max air flow with 105% more air pressure) and provides 1x dual-link DVI-D, 2x HDMI2.0 and 2x DisplayPort output ports.

So it's called dual because... it hast two fans? Read that as if they'd put two chips on a PCB again, but this is just another 1060 3GB isn't it?

Had the same thought. Apparently its a new marketing hoax. Lets rebrand something as Bla Bla DUAL - that would make customers consider us! ( yeah and like as if 99% of other video cards dont have two fans ).

However Dual chip 1060 would be very interesting product! Add a large 3 fan cooler on top, make it Large two slot card, add a sturdy backplate, provide two 8 pin connectors, and two bios.

Hell that would be an attractive card for 1080p resolution gaming. :)

You all know there cant be no dual gtx1060, its just a new confusing branding from Asus.

Technically there Can be. Yes card doesn't have headers for SLI connectors, however if both chips were on one card, it would run well assuming driver would support 1060 SLI. However if driver doesn't have that, than yes.

Still quite silly, why not allow it to be run in SLI, would give them even more competitive advantage over AMD.
