ASUS Crosshair III Formula coming

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 05/14/2009 08:44 AM | source: | 0 comment(s)

It took ASUS a while but they finally see the strength of the AMD platform and have been designing a kickass motherboard for it, meet the ASUS Crosshair III Formula.

ASUS always uses Crosshair for their more high-end AMD motherboards based on nForce chipsets, this time though, it'll be the magnificent AMD 790FX chipset together with the SB750 Southbridge chip, of course ACC is the key thing here, Advanced Clock Calibration (ACC) .

The board will have an 8+2 phase circuit and is Socket AM3 based, meaning a DDR3 motherboard.

You'll spot two PCI-Express x16 slots. What's cool is that the board is that the boards includes a ROG LCD-poster, and the famous iROG overclocking management system.

For audio you'll spot the ASUS SupremeFX X-Fi audio riser. ASUS may use the upcoming Computex event to launch this product, we'll keep an eye out on Taiwan of course, but that is looking to become an exciting motherboard alright.
