ASUS Announces ZenScreen MB16ACV

ASUS today announced ZenScreen MB16ACV, a 15.6 inch FHD portable monitor with an anti glare IPS panel and a super narrow bezel design.

It is the world’s first portable monitor to feature a long-lasting antibacterial ionic silver treatment embedded in the bezel and rear of the monitor to inhibit up to 99.9% bacterial growth and adhesion . The treatment meets JIS Z 2901 and ISO 22196 test standards to potentially reduce the spread of harmful bacteria to keep users safe while working on the go.

This sleek portable monitor weighs just 0.83 kg, has an ultraslim 10.5 mm profile, and utilizes an innovative USB-C® hybrid-signal solution for compatibility with laptops via USB Type-C and Type-A. It supports ASUS DisplayWidget software that senses the orientation of the monitor and automatically switches between landscape and portrait modes. For added convenience, ZenScreen MB16ACV includes a fold-out kickstand and tripod socket. Antibacterial treatment
ZenScreen MB16ACV is the world’s first portable monitor to feature an ionic silver treatment embedded in the bezels and rear of the monitor to offer long-lasting antibacterial protection, inhibiting up to 99.9% bacterial growth and adhesion to keep key areas of the monitor clean and hygienic. This treatment has been tested according to the JIS Z 2801 and ISO 22196: 2011 antibacterial activity measurement standards, and potentially reduces the spread of harmful bacteria.

Work in comfort
ZenScreen MB16ACV uses an innovative USB-C hybrid-signal connection that handles both power and video signals via a single cable. Its reversible any-way-up design enables quick connections to laptops and other compatible devices, supports DisplayPort Alternate mode and USB 3.0 signals, and includes a driver to support USB Type-A.
A fold-out kickstand props the monitor up on any flat surface, enabling easy tilt adjustments to ensure comfortable viewing angles and working positions. For added convenience, there’s also a 1/4-inch threaded socket at the rear to attach ZenScreen MB16ACV to a tripod or table mount. When connected to a laptop, ASUS DisplayWidget software automatically senses the orientation of ZenScreen MB16ACV and switches between landscape and portrait modes. The former is ideal for presentations and spreadsheets, while the latter offers a perfect view of documents, books or websites.

Truly wondered what was going on with my setup at one point.

I have two 120hz monitors and put in a 60hz diagnostic panel just for shits and weird things started to happen.

Mainly a wild looking rainbow like bar on the side (left of the screen) popped up and was flashing/strobing crazy like all different colors.

Unplug my monitoring monitor and it goes away.

Not sure if OS or driver related, but I took it out of the system so it's gone now.
