ASUS Announces TUF GAMING Radeon RX 6900 XT Spotted (TUF-RX6900XT-O16G-GAMING)
It's wasn't a sure thing when AMD announced the RX 6900 that AIB partners would be able to release custom models. After a bit of criticism, that statement changed. And today you'll see some announcement, but likely with availability in Q1 next year.
ASUS outs the ASUS TUF GAMING Radeon RX 6900 XT. The 6900 XT powered product is based on that TUF design and should provide proper cooling with that 2.5 slot three fan cooling. We were not sure either if the AIB card will be allowed to be factory overclocked, but the box clearly indicates an OC model. Specs however have not been shared. The photos are in fact renders as you can see. They reveal three DisplayPort 1.4 and a single HDMI 2.1 outputs, the card is powered by two 8-pin headers.
- Axial-tech fan design has been enhanced with more fan blades and a new rotation scheme.
- Dual ball fan bearings can last up to twice as long as sleeve bearing designs.
- An all-aluminum shroud, reinforced frame, and metal backplate enhance durability.
- MaxContact heat spreader features a super flat surface for improved thermal transfer.
- A 144-hour validation program puts cards through a series of stringent tests to ensure compatibility with the latest games.
- A vented backplate prevents hot air from recirculating through the cooling array.
- GPU Tweak II provides intuitive performance tweaking, thermal controls, and system monitoring.
BUILT TUF
The TUF GAMING Radeon RX 6900 XT is a tenacious beast with a tough metal exterior, super-efficient cooling, and components that offer enhanced endurance. An all-metal shroud houses three powerful axial-tech fans with dual ball fan bearings and extra blades. Under the exoskeleton, a thick heatsink keeps thermals under tight control and TUF components, selected for maximum durability and performance, keep the card ahead of the pack. You asked for a mean machine… this one is ready for action.
Not a bad looking card really.
