ASUS announces NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 series graphics cards lineup
The ROG Strix, ASUS Dual, and ASUS Phoenix graphics cards join the GeForce RTX 3050 line, which has been expanded to include three models.
ASUS unveiled three variants of the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card, offering the NVIDIA Ampere architecture to a wider audience than ever before. The new ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3050 8GB, ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 3050 8GB, and ASUS Phoenix GeForce RTX 3050 8GB are equipped with 8GB of VRAM, efficient cooling, and remarkable endurance, and are ready to enhance gaming rigs worldwide. The GeForce RTX 3050 is the first 50-class desktop GPU to support the latest ray-traced games at over 60 fps. The RTX 3050 is equipped with 2nd generation RT cores for ray tracing and 3rd generation Tensor cores for DLSS and AI. Ray tracing is the new standard in gaming, and the RTX 3050 makes it more accessible than before.
ROG Strix leads the way
The ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3050 8GB is based on the DNA of the NVIDIA Ampere architecture and offers potent gaming performance, low temperatures and whisper-quiet noise levels. Chiseled cutouts, angular lines, and metallic accents give the case a masterful appeal, while an addressable RGB LED ROG logo on the backplate and a continuous light strip allow users to customize the look of the case via Aura Sync.
This aggressively styled cover encases a beefy 2.7-slot heatsink that draws heat away from GPU hotspots through a baseplate finished with our MaxContact process. This process improves contact with the GPU chip itself and increases heat transfer to the heat pipes and fin block above. The bottom plate also covers the card's GDDR6 memory modules to keep them running at optimal temperatures.
A trio of nine-fan Axial-Tech fans provide a steady flow of cooling air through the large surface area fin block, allowing the GPU to maintain its peak performance during a gaming session. To minimize turbulence and focus airflow on heat-producing components, the side fans spin counter-clockwise. The vented backplate aids the cooling process by more easily directing the hot air from the heatsink into the case's natural airflow, and a pair of FanConnect II headers allow users to use the case fans to control the GPU to maintain cooling performance , which they need when playing. When the graphics card is idle or under low load,
ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3050 is built from the ground up to maintain high levels of performance over the long term. Highly resilient SAP II capacitors are ready to withstand heavy loads along with premium inductors and MOSFETs. Auto-Extreme assembly technology — used across the ASUS GeForce RTX 3050 lineup — selects, places, and solders each component on the card's PCB without human interaction for maximum precision and reliability.
Compact ASUS Dual and ASUS Phoenix cards deliver outstanding performance
The ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3050 8GB's triple-fan cooling solution offers best-in-class cooling performance, but a microATX or Mini-ITX case might not be big enough to house it. For smaller cases, the ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 3050 8GB and ASUS Phoenix GeForce RTX 3050 8GB offer GeForce RTX™ gaming capabilities and great cooling performance in slim, compact cases.
Dual GeForce RTX 3050 8GB uses a pair of fans with the proven ASUS Axial-Tech design to maintain airflow on a dense array of heat pipes and fins. At 0dB, these fans can be shut down for quiet operation when loads and temperatures permit. Subtle lighting elements and a minimalist design make this graphics card a subtle addition to any system.
The ASUS Phoenix GeForce RTX 3050 8GB offers the performance of the NVIDIA Ampere architecture and is ideal for computers of all sizes. Equipped with a solid aluminum backplate and an Axial-Tech fan, this graphics card offers the gaming and cooling performance users need in a slim and durable package.
Like the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3050 8GB, the ASUS Dual and ASUS Phoenix cards use ASUS Auto-Extreme assembly technology to ensure long-term reliability. A specially adapted protective coating on the PCBs of the Phoenix cards goes a step further and protects them from possible short circuits that can be caused by moisture, dust and dirt. ASUS also puts these graphics cards through a rigorous 144-hour validation process to ensure each and every card is built to last.
More options for GeForce RTX
The latest generation of NVIDIA graphics cards offers a wealth of new technologies to improve the gaming experience. If gamers are still standing on the sidelines to see what the GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs have to offer, now is a good time to upgrade with a ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3050 8GB, ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 3050 8GB or ASUS Phoenix GeForce RTX 3050 8GB.

Does the single fan variant feature "0dB technology" fan stops when idle?
I know the 2 fan card does, and the 3 fan variant I'm not sure about also.. but the 1 fan variant, it wasn't mentioned as far as I can tell for that so I'm just trying to figure that out.
