ASUS announced the addition of AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D and other new CPUs to its BIOS.

ASUS announced today BIOS compatibility and upgrades for a selection of motherboards that support AMD's latest RyzenTM 5000 and 4000 series CPUs. AMD has released AGESA version 1.2.0.6b to increase system performance in conjunction with the new Ryzen 7 5800X3D, which features a dedicated 96 MB L3 cache.



Numerous ASUS 500, 400, A320, and X370 series motherboards already include this updated AGESA version in their BIOS. By March 25th, other compatible models will get similar BIOS upgrades. All CPUs in this series are recognized by ASUS 400 and 500 series mainboards using existing BIOS upgrades - including AGESA version 1.2.0.6b. The updates can be downloaded from the ASUS support website at https://www.asus.com/support . Previous generation ASUS motherboards will receive support for these new CPUs according to the table below:
