ASUS Also Shows PG258Q - a 24.5-in monitor with 240 Hz panel

But wait there's more. If you think that 180 Hz in the previous news-item already was a lot, how about 240 Hz ? No I have no clue who would actually need 240 Hz but ASUS is working on the PG258Q, a 24.5 Inch monitor with 1920x1080 resolution and Gsync Module.

There aren't many technical details that Asus announced. The manufacturer speaks of a response time of 1ms , it is almost certain that this is a monitor with TN panel. The screen comes in a color scheme with titanium and copper hues , says Asus.

In the base are incorporated LEDs , a light on the desk. The monitor only works with DisplayPort 1.3 / 1.4.

+1 with that opinion.

I see this as a step towards the 120Hz 4k displays .. can't wait to see those pop up!

Well, 240 fps is possible with HD quality.

With 60 more hz, I can only image tryhard CS:GO player saying, "lul my monitor refresh rate higher than game default unlimited fps (300). literally ded geam, Volvo fix plz".

Asus already have a 4K 144Hz prototype TN panel. :)
