ASUS Also Shows PG258Q - a 24.5-in monitor with 240 Hz panel
But wait there's more. If you think that 180 Hz in the previous news-item already was a lot, how about 240 Hz ? No I have no clue who would actually need 240 Hz but ASUS is working on the PG258Q, a 24.5 Inch monitor with 1920x1080 resolution and Gsync Module.
There aren't many technical details that Asus announced. The manufacturer speaks of a response time of 1ms , it is almost certain that this is a monitor with TN panel. The screen comes in a color scheme with titanium and copper hues , says Asus.
In the base are incorporated LEDs , a light on the desk. The monitor only works with DisplayPort 1.3 / 1.4.

Yeah, it's actually partially why it's G-Sync to begin with. It has variable over-drive.
Does G-Sync even work at that high fps?

I think that even my 280X can do 240fps on low in CS so no biggie in the gpu department.
CS:GO on a GTX980 at low settings, which pretty much every pro plays at.

Last CSGO tournament I watched all the players were on ezio 240hz displays.
Mainly for fps games, but I even notice 120hz being a bit slow on racing sim games (assetto corsa).
The average gamer is usually fine with 90hz range, but higher rates have their uses.

at one time I thought who the hell can get 144 fps to justify a rog swift and I bought one
But who the hell gets 240 fps? hmm 1080p 1080 sli might work out, wonder how it would look like... but that monitor alone is asking for the highest grade components, that's gonna kill your wallet.
I get 280fps in Quake III @1080p
