ASUS also adds Core i 9000 Support to BIOSes

ASUS has released BIOS updates for its 300-series motherboards, adding support for the Intel Core 9000 series processor family. The latest BIOS updates are available for download now from the official ASUS website.

WTH... That's MOBO and my BIOS (UPDATED just yesterday)

If someone had told me that the next generation Intel CPU would fit my motherboard, I would have laughed at them.

Sometimes they do... as with X99 and Haswell as well as Broadwell support. What makes the difference, which ones get an update to support the next CPU line, and which one not, probably lies with Intel's technical marketing :D

Exactly my thoughts... By the way, what would happen if someone tries to update an Z170/270 MB with a BIOS from a Z370??? I know this is a stupid question but i´m curious.
